Café Hauptwache in Frankfurt

I think the waiting times are unbearable. Lots of WAITERS ??? for few guests in May 2021. DEFINITELY impossible !!! Our goulash dishes were average and the highlight: Please DO NOT order "Toasted bread with avocado". It's a medium-sized slice of bread with a little avocado, costs only EUR 9.80! NO COMMENT! ! !

The Hauptwache café is located in a historic location in the heart of the city of Frankfurt am Main. Here you can go very well with guests, have a cozy cup of coffee with a delicious piece of cake or cake. Watch the goings-on on the Zeil shopping mile. A good place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The frame of the old main guard provides the ideal backdrop for this. The staff is very friendly and competent. That's why we always like to come back here, especially to show our guests Frankfurt am Main.

Great beer, great schnitzel, great place. Well worth the visit and location is easy to get to.

We arrived mid afternoon on a rainy Saturday in Frankfurt. One of the only countries currently in the UK list to visit. In need of a break, here we are! After a quick hotel check in, we headed here for their Schnitzal! Our waiter, Klodjan was fabulous. Great food, great atmosphere!

This Cafe has the best location in Frankfurt and is also one of the most historical cafes. It is best to sit outdoors and just watch people come and go. The lunch menu is the best value.

Super recommended ... it is a very beautiful place in the most touristic part of the city, there you will find good food, good atmosphere, good service and prices that differ from what you get.

Please do not order the toasted bread with advocado. It's a medium slice of bread with a little advocado, which isn't a problem if it wasn't for the price. To ask for EUR 9.80 is a rip off! I can understand that our gastronomy has to be rebuilt due to the current situation, but not so extremely overpriced 😥 That scares me off, so I won't be a guest there again. The two stars given are for the pleasant service 🤗

Beautiful historic building in the center of Frankfurt. Heated outdoor terrace. Pleasant, helpful and fast service. I had a stylish-Frankfurt soup and a non-stylish-egg Benedict. I recommend to honor your visit.

The salad was too salty and too much sauce was on it. It’s sooooo expensive but the food was terrible. The waiters were all very kind and polite.

Traditional Frankfurter food available, like Handkaese and Apfelwein. It's a nice venue, not super cozy or gemuetlich, but definitely worth the visit. The staff is quite pleasant.

The landmark of Frankfurt city center is an old house, now it is a cafe and restaurant. It is a place where locals and tourists will visit.

Great place to watch the world go by

Smells history. Menu is rich

Mediocre, and standard quality food. For the location and history of the place the owners just rely on curious customers and visitors to visit. But down the road are lots of much nicer places to eat. I couldn't finish my meal as it was tasteless and my companion just ate up because they were hungry. I would not bother again.

If you are looking for a café to enjoy the sunny weather then this is definitely a very good spot to do so. Service is okay, food is average and coffee is ok as well.

The lemonade was so big and the schnitzel curry-boost fries were so delicious. The sauce from the schnitzel was so light and delicious that it made me feel the schnitzel. The staff was so friendly and I miscalculated on this day, so I gave a little less than 10% of the tips. I highly recommend this restaurant !!! The server was so kind and food were super good.

A staff told in a very rude way “In Germany the tip has to be 10% of the bill” while I was paying the meal of my guests leaving some cash as tip for great food. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I have never heard of this rude words for tips for my thanks to the food and services. They lost potential customers.

Taste great pork knucles

It is a very nice cafe in the center, like a fairy tale house.) The hamburger is nice, but my favorite waffles are very nice, they are very soft except for crispy inside, they are great with nutella and ice cream.

We ordered the signatured Hausgemachte Grune Sosse 4 Halbe Bio Eier & Pellkartoffeln, pumpkin soup, and apaghettini Napoli, all of them tastes good.

It seemed to me that it would be nice to sit in the garden in summer. the ambiance also made it an impression. prices are high. customer profile is also high. There is no shortage of transportation, right in the center of the city. parking problem also needs to solve the surrounding area. the staff is striving to be meticulous.
